— Cookies
Only the cookies we actually need.
Effective —
In plain language
SERVD ships without a cookie banner because we only set strictly-necessary cookies — sign-in, payment processing, CSRF protection. None of them track you across the internet.
Below is every cookie we set, who set it, what it does, and how long it lives. No marketing or analytics cookies. No pixels.
The legal version is below. If anything reads differently in the long form, the long form controls.
Section 02
Every cookie we set
The full list of cookies set by SERVD and our infrastructure partners:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| __session | Clerk | Authenticated session | Session |
| __client_uat | Clerk | Session sync between tabs | Session |
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Payment fraud prevention | 1 year |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Payment fraud prevention | 30 minutes |
| csrf-token | SERVD | CSRF protection on form posts | Session |
“Session” cookies are deleted when you close your browser. The Stripe cookies above are set on a Stripe subdomain when their payment elements render on the checkout page — they’re necessary for payment processing and we don’t see what’s in them.
Section 03
What we don’t use
The following are not present anywhere on the Platform:
- Google Analytics or any other web analytics platform that sets a tracking cookie.
- Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any other ad-network tracking pixel.
- Marketing automation cookies (HubSpot, Marketo, Klaviyo, etc.).
- Cross-site tracking of any kind. Nothing follows you from SERVD to another site.
- Local storage of personal information. We use the browser’s in-memory storage for ephemeral UI state only.
Section 04
How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the SERVD or Clerk cookies will sign you out and break sign-in. Blocking Stripe’s cookies will break checkout. Other than that, everything will continue to work.
See your browser’s documentation for instructions:
Section 05
When this list changes
If we add a new strictly-necessary cookie, we update this page within 30 days. If we ever decide to add a non-essential cookie (we don’t plan to), this page will list it, we’ll ship a banner asking for consent, and your existing preferences will default to “no” until you choose otherwise.
